Cheryl Ranchino Trench
Cheryl Ranchino Trench - She joined the Herrin Chamber in 1986 and was one of the first women on the Board of Directors. An elected member of the Chamber Board of Directors since the early 1990′s, she was one of the architects of HerrinFesta Italiana in 1991 and served as Co-Chairman of the event until 1995 when she became a Trustee on the Festa Committee. She has served as publicity chairman and past secretary on the Executive Committee of the Chamber. She served as Chairman of the Herrin Civic Center Patron Series for 7 years and was a member of the Board of Trustees for Southern Illinois Health Care for 11 years. She is a past president of the Herrin City Library Board and served on the board of the Herrin Area United Way. She worked in southern Illinois radio and print and Johnson Hughes and Mitchell Hughes before her retirement. She is currently a columnist for The Southern Illinoisan and The Independent.
