Herrin Park is an excellent place for a leisurely jog. You can even enjoy feeding the beautiful ducks that walk and swim all around and in the pond.
Bring the family out to one of Herrin City Park’s seven baseball diamonds for a fun filled day cheering on your favorite baseball team. With varying sizes, there is a diamond for all age groups. If you have a young boy or girl that would be interested in playing little league baseball or softball you can call the Herrin Junior Ball League at 618-727-3155.
From small picnic to large outing, Herrin Park is your destination for outdoor gatherings in the summer. The park has 9 shelters complete with seating, grills, and garbage receptacles. Shelters can be reserved for a $25.00 fee. Herrin Park also provides Tennis and Basketball courts for outdoor sporting enjoyment. Recently added is a skate park for skateboarding and inline skating.
